Veld Music Festival

The below poster and booklet designs are part of a Design system for a music festival. Veld Music Festival is an Electronic Dance Music Festival. I wanted to visualize what the festival makes you feel, rather than focusing on just the music you would hear. This feeling is of a free-spirited, euphoric exploration that is a very common and normal occurrence at these festivals since the majority of the attendees take part in the use of drugs and alcohol at the festival to reach their own “high” experience. Exploration with the abstracted background piece was the outcome of what I perceived the festival to be like when I think about the free-spirited, high feeling that comes along with the festival experience.
